English Cucumbers

Their seeds are much smaller and easier to eat so they do not require de-seeding. The taste is less bitter than slicers, milder and almost sweet. The skin is thinner and edible.

English cucumbers, also known as Hot House cucumbers, differ from the common cucumber in their texture, taste and edible skin. The skin is thin, furrowed and forest green in color. They have a pale green to translucent white flesh that does contain seeds, however these are underdeveloped and non-bitter. English cucumbers can reach a length of two feet and still maintain a bright clean and sweet flavor, favorable moisture content and crisp texture.

Great additions to any salads!

Store them toward the middle of the fridge, as it is often too cold at the bottom. And keep them toward the front of the fridge as it is also colder at the back of the fridge. Stored this way, fresh whole cucumbers can last around 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator, though it is best to use them as soon as possible.
They do come in protective plastic for extra protection.
